An irate driver has been photographed forcibly removing protesters from the road in central London during a ‘swarm’ of demonstrations. Youth Action, an offshoot of Just Stop Oil which concluded its campaigning earlier this month, has pledged to flood the capital with a ‘swarm’ of protests throughout April.
This morning, demonstrators created a roadblock on Buckingham Palace Road in central London, with one using a megaphone and another holding a Palestinian flag. However, the blockade was short-lived as at least three individuals intervened, dragging the protesters out of the road.
A man and a woman were seen seizing protesters by the shoulders or grabbing their clothing in attempts to lift and remove them from the carriageway. The man was captured in photographs apparently pushing a protester who was standing directly in front of a vehicle.
Other protesters carrying banners positioned themselves in front of buses and other vehicles to prevent them from proceeding. One bus was even reported to have slowly driven through the roadblock in an attempt to clear a path.
