Car hits group of pedestrians outside leisure park killing a woman

A woman has died after she and two others were struck by a car outside a leisure park in West Sussex.

The 25-year-old’s younger sister, aged 12, and their cousin, a 19-year-old woman, survived the collision on London Road in Crawley at around 8.36pm on Saturday.

Both were taken to hospital with serious injuries. They are believed to be from the local area. The vehicle involved was a grey BMW 3 Series.

A 33-year-old man from Crawley was arrested at the scene. He is being held on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs.
