TOTTENHAM star Rodrigo Bentancur sustained a serious injury during the match against Liverpool and had to be substituted. The midfielder landed awkwardly after contesting the ball in the air during a corner.
Bentancur missed the ball as he lunged low to reach it and appeared to injure his right arm upon hitting the ground. He remained motionless at the spot where he fell, sparking concern among the other players.
His team-mates were visibly worried, with Pedro Porro rushing to his aid as he lay still on the pitch.
Players from both teams immediately signalled for physios and medical staff to come onto the field to assist Bentancur. The Argentine received medical attention for approximately seven minutes before being carried off on a stretcher.
