Former Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Yossi Benayoun survived a terrifying grenade attack on his home in Israel over the weekend.
Benayoun, 44, was inside the house with his family when an individual on a motorbike arrived outside the property and threw a device through the door.
According to reports in Israel, the resulting explosion caused “minor damage” to the entrance of the building, but no one was seriously injured in the blast.
Emergency services rushed to the Benayoun residence in Ramat Hasharon, just north of Tel Aviv, at around 11pm on Sunday night, and a police investigation is now underway.
