Major UK train station EVACUATED sparking chaos for thousands

A major UK train station has been evacuated as “smoke was seen rising from platforms,” causing travel disruption for thousands of passengers. Four platforms at London Waterloo were evacuated following reports of smoke emanating from them.

Waterloo is one of the capital’s busiest stations, with nearly 200,000 passengers using it each day. Although lines have since been reopened, trains may be cancelled, delayed, or revised until 10:30am today.

South Western Railway stated that services between the country’s fourth-busiest station and Clapham Junction are being disrupted due to the incident, which is currently under investigation.

The London Fire Brigade confirmed that its crews were called to investigate a smell of smoke at London Waterloo at around 9:30am.
