The killer father of ten-year-old Sara Sharif has had his throat slashed in prison with the jagged lid of a tuna tin. Two inmates attacked Urfan Sharif, 43, in his cell at the high-security HMP Belmarsh in South London.
He was assaulted on New Year’s Day, only weeks into serving a life sentence for the murder of innocent Sara.
Sources report that Sharif was fortunate to survive the attack and is currently in a serious condition in the prison’s hospital.
The assailants were reportedly outraged by his abuse of Sara, who endured beatings, burns, and bites over two years before her death in August 2023. They used the jagged lid of a tuna tin in the ambush at HMP Belmarsh on New Year’s Day, mere weeks after Sharif began his life sentence, which carries a minimum term of 40 years.
