MULTIPLE people have been killed and injured after a car ploughed into a crowd at a street festival in Vancouver.
A 30-year-old “lone suspect” from the city – who was known to police – was arrested shortly after a black Audi struck revellers at around 8pm local time.
Vancouver police are investigating a “mass casualty incident” after several people were killed and multiple others injured in the horrific plough.
The exact number of dead or injured currently remains unknown, but local media reports suggest at least eight people have been killed, including a child, with another six fighting for their lives.
Police acting chief Steve Rai said in a media conference that it would be “unfair” to “release any number” of victims at this stage.
