The suspect in the ‘terrorist attack’ on New Orleans has been confirmed dead, as at least one suspected improvised explosive device was detonated at the scene in the French Quarter.
At least 10 people have been killed, and another 35 injured, after a truck ploughed into a crowd in the early hours of this morning.
The FBI has confirmed it is investigating the attack as an ‘act of terrorism’ and stated that the ‘subject who engaged with local law enforcement is now deceased’.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 am on Wednesday at the intersection of the popular Bourbon Street and Iberville.
