A young boy has died after being struck by a van in Wimborne, Dorset.
The child, who was a pedestrian, was hit by a Ford Transit van on Cutler Place in Colehill, near the junction with Middlehill Road, this afternoon.
He received CPR at the scene but was pronounced dead shortly after police were first called at 1.54pm. His family have been informed.
A witness saw an air ambulance and “a lot of emergency services vehicles”, the Dorset Echo reported. Road closures were implemented while officers examined the scene, leading to delays of around 15 minutes on the A31 between the A341 (Merley Roundabout) and B3073 (Canford Bottom).
